Thank U, Next
In a previous blog, I wrote about a new song by Ariana Grande called Thank U, Next. She wrote it in response to her ex-fiancé's skit on SNL that made fun of his ability to marry any woman that he proposes to. The song references all the experiences she has had and all of the lessons she learned from her famous exes. Since the release of the song, her fans have been patiently awaiting a video that Grande promised for the single.
The day before it was released, the singer released content on YouTube with behind the scenes footage and sneak peeks of the content meant for the video. Grande announced with the sneak peek that the full video could be expected to be released within 24 hours.

The video also includes big celebrity names that she has worked with on past projects. By including all of this, Ariana is able to reach the audiences of the popular movies and celebrities to increase her views; Grande now has almost 50 million views on the Thank U, Next video.

I was already a huge fan of the song when it came out, but the music video made it even better. Between the movie references, Victorious cast, YouTube record and Kris Jenner, I think this music video will go down in history as an icon. I agree with you - her tactics for getting her video out there were brilliant!
ReplyDeleteI watched the music video. I am so impressed that she has so much confident, and I think she is so strong in the way she create a song about her life, and combining that into the music video with big celebrity names.
ReplyDeleteI love this song, as I think it is relatable to so many girls. I just went and watched the video and it made it even better for her. She truly has such incredible talent and such an amazing voice. I can't wait to see what she comes out with next.
